I had the pleasure of working with Mark Cousins again on his new film My Name Is Alfred Hitchcock which premiered at Telluride Film Festival in September 2022
 


This really exciting project is a hybrid re-telling of the story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. It had its first reiteration live in Leith Theatre at the beginning of 2022. It was also broadcasted live to cinemas around the UK in the first live broadcast in Scotland. 
Conceived and directed by 
Hope Dickson Leach.
Written by Hope Dickson Leach and Vlad Butucea, based on the iconic novella by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Ear for Eye directed by Debbie Tucker Green

MAKE UP was released by Curzon Artificial Eye in the UK, July 2020 and in Nov 2020 in the USA. 
It premiered in the first feature competition at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2019.
 I'm really happy to be mentioned by Mark Kermode, alongside Ben Salisbury and Nick Cooke for our work on the film.

This year, I have completed working on  Barley Fields on the Other Side of the Mountain directed by Tian Tsering, edited by  Sofia Bost, music by Jasmin Kent Rodgman
Synopsis: Sixteen-year-old Pema lives in the Himalayas. For generations, her family has farmed the barley fields in peace. When her father is arrested, Pema's world is shattered.

 Pikadero, a film I have worked on as a sound editor and dubbing mixer, won The Michael Powell Award for the Best British Feature Film at Edinburgh International Film Festival 2016. 
Pikadero was directed by Ben Sharrock and produced by Irune Gurtubai. The film premiered at San Sebastian Film Festival in September 2015. More info at https://twitter.com/PikaderoFilm

The Magnificent Lion Boy wins again. This time it is the Best Student Animated Short prize at the RIVERRUN International Film Festival (3-13 April 2014)! Congratulations to the team!!! Here is the trailer for the film directed by Ana Caro.

I feel very honored to be nominated for the Verna Fields Award at this years Golden Reel awards for my work on the animation The Magnificent Lion Boy.

The Verna Fields Award is a Golden Reel Award presented each year by Motion Picture Sound Editors to a filmmaking student in order to recognize the excellence of their sound editing work.

Graham Hartstone comments on the nominations on AMPS newsletter. NFTS Scoops a Record 6 out of 7 Nominations For Golden Reel Awards.


 Past triumphs of the film: 
The Magnificent Lion Boy
won the second place for Best Student Animation film in 2013 Palm Springs International ShortFest!


The film has also been selected for The Edinburgh International Film Festival that was held between 19-30 June 2013.

I am very happy to announce that The Magnificent Lion Boy has been officially selected for the 66th Cannes Film Festival! Huge congratulations to the whole team: Ana Caro S. The Mass of Men wins The Grand Prix of the 43rd Kyiv International Film Festival “Molodist”.

Other awards for the film include:

Best International Short Film at the 65th International Film Festival in Locarno

International Film Student Award at 60th San Sebastien Film Festival
Grand Prix at Tampere Film Festival International Competition

In total The Mass of Men has been screened at more then 60 festivals worldwide where it has won 25 Awards including the Grand Prix in 4 Oscar qualifying festivals: Locarno, Tampere, Short Shorts Asia in Tokyo and Huesca.


Magpies directed by Joasia Goldyn is premiering at the Cinema Jove – Valencia International Film Festival 2013.

The Cleaners directed by Konstantinos Georgousis has been selected for the competition at the 25th International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam.  The film has stirred up responses both in the UK and Greece: Channel 4 News talked about the situation in Greece and the Golden Dawn. The director of the film appeared on Channel 4. A Greek criminal prosecutor has launched an investigation after a report on Channel 4 News showed a member of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party threatening to turn immigrants into soap.

The Mass of Men, directed by Gabriel Gauchet,  won  Pardino d’oro for the Best International Short Film at the 65th Locarno Film Festival in 2012. The film also won International Film Student Award at 60th San Sebastián Film Festival  in 2013. Please see the synopsis here. It has also just won the Grand Prix at Tampere Film Festival International Competition in March 2013.

Physics written and directed by Claire Oakley won Best of Boroughs 2012 Film Awards. Please find more information and the official trailer here. It premiered at the 56th BFI London Film Festival as a part of London Calling selection of shorts. It has also been selected for The Moët British Independent Film Awards.
